Come and join us at Pu’uhonua o Nanea cultural center to learn more about ‘Ukulele, Basic Hawaiian Language, Fresh Flower Lei Making, Kukui Lei Making, Lauhala Weaving and our Historical Walking Tour of Lāhaina. For details and information, please contact concierge at 662-6400.

KIDS CLUB (AGES 5 – 12)
Created with our kids’ well-being in mind, Westin Family engages our youngest guests at every turn, encouraging exploration and creating a sense of wonder. Join us for inspired activities that help kids connect with their environment and learn about their destination, enriching your family's experience here in Hawaii.

Monday Morning: Learn and design ancient Hawaiian petroglyphs (rock carvings that tell a story)

KILO HOKU'S STELLAR NAVIGATION
Come and meet Kala Baybayan Tanaka who grew up playing around voyaging canoes. She learned sailing and navigation from her dad and other mentors in Polynesian Voyaging Society. She has participated in several voyages on Hokulea, Hikianalia, and Mookiha o Piilani. Be inspired to learn about the star compass and the history of voyaging.

PUKA SHELL
In The Westin Family Activity Center, you will learn the meaning of the word Puka. Puka is the Hawaiian word for "hole", and these naturally occurring holes are in the middle of shells. Given these are natural shells, it provides an easy and fun process to make jewelry such as necklaces and bracelets.

Our property is home to many of our native plants and shrubs. We take you on a tour of the area fronting the lobby where these plants are and educate them on their many uses in the Pu'uhonua O Nanea Activity Center.
